This PowerPoint is designed for art teachers to teach an "Architectural Silhouette" lesson. It is designed for 8th graded students, but would work for students in grades 5-12. The PowerPoint begins by introducing the words architecture and architect. The presentation also includes a "Smartest Artist Challenge" where students work as table teams to see how many famous buildings they can name. The PP then displays an array of famous structures from the Sydney Opera House to the world's tallest building, the Burj Kalifa in Dubai. The PP includes project research directions and an example of a completed Architectural Research Worksheet (sold separately).
