This is a complete 2.5 Hour Enrichment Workshop is perfect for a GATE pullout program, Monthly Gifted Curriculum, Parent-led enrichment, Grade-level rotation, Homeschool, After-school or Sub Plans

This workshop is perfect for getting your students ready to visit an art museum. Docents will be impressed with their background knowledge. I know this from experience!

Activities include:

• Taking a closer look at Edgar Degas’ “The Dance Class”
• Feeling Emotion in Art
• Can a Line Tell a Story?
• Can a Statue Tell a Story? Play Statue Charades
• Complete an Art Icon Project using Depth and Complexity Icons. The artists studied include Roy Lichtenstein, Grandma Moses, Rene Magritte and Claude Monet

The Art of Storytelling Activity meets the requirements for the CA Dept. of Education’s Gifted Program Standards

This activity is suggested for grades 4-6

As a GATE Teacher, I created this enrichment activity as part of a monthly GATE Enrichment Pullout Program. It’s tested and approved by over 200 gifted learners.

• Optional: YouTube access
