Inside you will find:
*Graphic organizer for note-taking
*Template for final publishing, requiring students to synthesize their note-taking and present information through a summary paragraph and text features
*Checklist for self assessment and rubric for assessing student work (included in main document as well as in an additional separate file for the checklist and rubric to assess online work so that you can post on Google Classroom if you so choose)
This can be an all pencil and paper project, an all online project, or a combination of both. You choose what works best for your students!
All paper and pencil: Use the PDF files provided and your own print resources that you would like students to use for research. There is a “map” for the template for final publishing. You can project the map or make a copy for each student to follow.
All online: Use the Google Slides version. When you click a link, you will be prompted to “Make a Copy” of our original document. Click to make a copy, rename your document, and it will appear in your Google Drive. (We use Google Classroom to post the links provided below, the graphic organizer, the template for publishing, the checklist, and the rubric all in one assignment post.)
Combination: Have students take notes by hand on a printed copy of the graphic organizer and then they can create their final product on Google Slides (use the link above). You can have them use the links provided below for research, find your own links, or use your own print resources.
