Are you looking for resources for the NEW TN Social Studies Standards? Look no further, I have started creating resources to hit those standards.
4.4 Trace the routes of early explorers and describe the early explorations of the Americas including:
Robert de La Salle
Hernando de Soto
The best thing about this product is that there is not a lot of prep time for the teacher! All you have to do is show the PowerPoint as a slide show, and print the comprehension questions and the Interactive Notebook pages.
I have created a 56 slide PowerPoint that you can use for instructional purposes. There are several slides that provides information, visuals, and review questions for each explorer the students must know. After you teach the material, there is a comprehension sheet for the students to complete. This is a great tool to use for a formal assessment. I have also included Interactive Notebook Materials to help the information sink into the students' brains.
** I will provide an answer sheet for each of the comprehension questions later this week.
** I will NOT be creating a final assessment for these explorers. I didn't test my students on this material, because I do not know what the end of the year test will look for this standard. Just FYI in case you were looking for a study guide and assessment like my previous units.
Please provide feedback since this is all of our go around with these new Tennessee Standards. If you have any questions, please email me at email@example.com.
Please rate this product and enjoy!
I have created a few other units for the NEW TN Social Studies Standards. Please check them out!
