What educators are saying

I put all of these on my bulletin board in the hallway--the kids love to read them. And it encourages them when they are struggling in class/activities to know they aren't alone.
I have bought all three volumes. It was a great way to start the morning by having students guess one famous failure each day and slowly add to our board.

Description

My students begged for more of these, so I built another set of Famous Failures, two dozen well-known people who show us that it’s what we do after we fail that determines the quality of our lives. This interactive bulletin board, designed for grades 6-12, celebrates the growth mindset of famous figures who weren’t defeated by early failures and set-backs. This message, of course, is echoed all over social media, but I wanted to try to find reliable sources to back up what life experience has taught me to be true. To that end, I did some research and built these interactive bulletin board materials for our classrooms, libraries, and counseling offices.

Just print these materials and follow the simple step-by-step assembly directions to create an interactive bulletin board featuring 24 historic and modern examples of famous people who picked themselves up after early career failure. Better yet, have a student volunteer/T.A. build this for you!

Materials you’ll need:

White and colored printer paper

Scissors

Tape (or glue)

Stapler
