Product Description
Looking for an interactive bulletin board for your classroom or library? This "Famous First Lines" bulletin board will have your students thinking and talking about some fantastic books!

This printable is designed to be used as a bulletin board with half-page cards that have the famous first line printed on top. Students flip up the top to see the corresponding title and author information below.

The printables for this interactive bulletin board contain the following:

~ 24 "famous first lines" from 24 different fiction books, ranging from classic picture books to popular young adult novels. Choose the books to suit the ages of your students; however, it is probably most suitable for intermediate elementary through middle school. Two printables for each book are included: one page that lists the famous first line and is designed to be printed or glued on the front of a half-page card, and a second that lists the title and author which can be printed or glued on the inside.

~ A "cheat sheet" that lists the first line along with its title and author. Some of the first lines come from books like Goodnight, Moon ... Because of Winn-Dixie ... The Teacher's Funeral ... Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ... Charlotte's Web...Divergent ... A Wrinkle in Time ... just to name a few!

~ "FIRST LINES" printable letters (plus two blanks) that can be used to create a header for your bulletin board.

I have been thrilled with how many good conversations about books this interactive starts with both kids and parents.
