This project allows students to discover where some of the foundations of math come from. Students research a famous mathematician to learn about their early life, education, and contributions. The students must then describe WHY the contributions are important to math and/or their lives. This project is a "media project" - the students' projects are not paper/pencil, but instead created on a computer (powerpoint, prezi, typed report, etc.) A rubric is included to help evaluate the projects. This project has purposefully been uploaded as a Word document, so it can be edited for your purposes.
