This coloring and research pack, designed with quilt squares in mind, will be a great compliment to any lesson on the Underground Railroad. Twenty famous figures are represented with a research template designed to give students an overview of the each person and their contribution to the UR.
The research sheets can be used as a stand alone activity, a bulletin board display and as a tool for research. They can also be resized to print and insert easily into an interactive notebook by adjusting your printer settings. There are many ways to use this versatile pack.
I have included websites to help guide students in their research. I have assessed and vetted appropriate websites and listed them as ad free or ad supported. This will be a good way to show use of technology in the classroom. There may also be materials available in your school library if you prefer print sources.
This pack will work very well with upper elementary and middle school students.

20 Famous people who helped with the Underground Railroad as 'conductors' or as writers and speakers who raised funds for the UR effort. (pdf File)
