This project helps walk students through the research and drafting process. Students select a famous person to research, and then fill in a graphic organizer with questions to prompt them in their study. Students then complete a rough draft. A frame is given for students to hand draw (or print out) a picture of their famous person. Last, students create a final draft and list the sources that they used. A rubric including CCSS standard numbers is provided to assist teachers in evaluating student work. There is also a title page that can be used as a bulletin board header. The lesson plan for the entire project, with website suggestions and ideas for Open House, is included as well.
