For this book report project, students need to apply criticial thinking skills as they think of two famous people who might enjoy the book they are reading (the people can be from any time period/real or imaginary). They have to draw or get a picture of that person and put them in a frame. Then they have to write why they would recommend the book to each person. They will need to include specific reasons for their recommendations (citing textual evidence) as they think about the book’s theme, setting, and characters. Included in this 3 page download is a copy of the directions with frame examples for students, a copy of a rubric for the project, and an example of a finished product for students to see as a model. This is always a favorite book project among my students. Great Common Core activity. When projects are complete, it makes a fabulous display on a bulletin board.
