Challenge your students to do independent research and to think critically in reporting about a famous scientist. This unit provides options for creating either a poster or a slideshow on one of 10 famous scientist. Included are student instructions and grading forms for both the poster and the slideshow; a detailed analysis of the life of each of the 10 scientists (which teachers may use for checking their students’ facts - i.e. an answer key), and a teaching introduction to the unit. The unit is suitable for 6th through 8th graders with the teacher adjusting the amount of information expected, depending on the grade level. The download is available as a PDF and includes 31 pages.
