I created this unit to give my students the opportunity to study amazing photos. In the introductory activity students analyze, discuss, and make connections in small groups to photos you choose from the 30 photos included.
Next, students practice putting themselves in another person's point of view and have the opportunity to analyze another photo you give them and write a creative writing piece.
Last, if you choose, in the extension activity students have the opportunity to take their own photos and become a photojournalist.
