Students will create a fantasy history team, draft Presidents, laws, important people and terms from American history and then compete against each other to see who drafted the best team. The trick is that students will need to understand the history and use analysis and critical thinking to score points for their fantasy team. They will have so much fun they may not realize how much they are learning. One of the most effective ways to prepare for a final exam is to take practice exams. Taking practice exams however can be a boring and mundane endeavor. Turning the practice of taking exams into a fantasy football like game encourages a greater analysis, participation and fun. Students learn best when they are engaged and having fun and that is exactly what this activity provides.
