Project usually means make or create, but project here means reflect and respond! You print and staple, students read, finish sentence starters regarding point of view and author's purpose, fill in quotes as proof, and make check-marks that will cause reflection on the text structure/organization of their book. Students will also record the plot of their book (setting/characters/plot/theme). Finally, students will note the "impossibilities" in the fantasy book of your/their choice. Designed for multiple uses, multi-use.
Flexible use options:
-use pages separately or collectively
-use for whole class/small group lit. studies/genre studies
-use for book talks or presentations
-use as an independent reading project or book report
-use as pages for HW
-use during independent reading/centers/stations/SSR/DEAR
-use to supplement ANY reading program
-use to supplement short stories in teacher-purchased books or on-line resources
Students will enjoy the reflecting!
