In the first round of this year's fantasy football draft, students choose...learning math and having fun!!!!!!
After playing fantasy sports for over 20 years, I decided it was time to develop a resource to make fantasy football accessible to the classroom. Not only is fantasy football very fun and engaging, it is also an amazing way for both boys and girls of all ages to practice and reinforce math skills.
This resource allows students to work alone or in teams to construct a salary based fantasy football roster to compete against one another...and you! Teams use math formulas to calculate point totals for either the entire season or on a week-to-week basis. Weekly rankings and projections will be updated throughout the season, making this an ongoing resource.
New this year, the main resource is being uploaded as both a PDF and an Excel document. The Excel option gives you the option to re-rank players and values. Weekly updates are only in Excel form.
