Here are 14 questions that will get your students thinking specifically about their favorite genre! Students will read any fantasy book or story of any length, at any reading level. These prompts can be chosen by students or assigned by the teacher or both!

Students will read a fantasy book or short story of your/their choice. They will choose or be assigned a question; students will record their answer onto binder paper but quotes, explanations, and/or examples from the text are REQUIRED as the included sample journal illustrates. Designed for multiple uses, multi-use.
Flexible use options:
-use with whole class, small groups, or individuals
-use for lit.circles, book studies, book clubs, or genre studies
-use as a document during independent reading, SSR/DEAR
-use to supplement ANY reading program or to supplement short stories in teacher-purchased books or on-line resources
