This Farm Adapted Book, "I See," At the Farm focuses on identifying farm animals by attribute, or function and includes real photos of farm animals.
In this activity, the teacher or therapist reads through the book with students as students try to solve the riddle by identifying the farm animal and matching piece that best fits the description.
"I see. I see.
What can it be?
It's something that lays eggs...
(Students find the picture and turn the page to see the answer revealed.)
It's a chicken!
A chicken lays eggs."
After the students have worked through the book, there is an extension activity included where they can practice creating their own farm themed riddles. Students working independently may work through the book at a literacy center.
