Uno is a game that I often play with my ESL students as a warm up at the start of lessons and when they are losing concentration. I developed these cards so that students can learn some new nouns or reinforce old nouns and pronunciation while playing games.
I often play go fish and memory match, to mix it up and make the students say the words on the cards and the colour as they place them down.
For older or more advanced students I also make students put the noun into a sentence before they can place it down. If the sentence is incorrect they can’t place the card down.
This game could also be used as an activity for reading and writing groups for early stages.
For best results print on card stock double sided and laminate for a longer life in the classroom.
Please let me know if there are any problems and I will be happy to fix them.
