This Farm Field Trip Booklet is designed to give your student’s some focus while they are on their classroom field trip at the farm. I have found that many of my students have gone to the farm with their families to pick apples, pumpkins or other fruit, to go on hayrides, to see the baby animals and having this Farm Field Trip Booklet in hand helps bring a learning focus to the field trip. This Field Trip Booklet may also be used in your classroom as a follow-up activity after you have visited the farm!
You may choose to use any or all of the 10 activity pages you would like when you reproduce your booklet for your own class and put them in any order you would see fit. The following types of printable activities are included in the booklet:
Finding animals that are used for food.
Writing the names of baby animals that match their adult counter part.
Listing reasons a farmer uses a tractor.
Observing one farm animal of choice, sketching it, writing an observation, and noting habitat aspects.
Searching for items found in four different food groups.
Writing what a farmer does for chores.
Listing things at the farm that begin with each letter of the alphabet.
Discovering what a barn can be used for.

Since laughter is the best medicine, I’ll leave you with a farm joke prescription!!
A farmer was milking his cow. He was just starting to get a good rhythm going when a bug flew into the barn and started circling his head. Suddenly, the bug flew into the cow's ear. The farmer didn't think much about it, until the bug squirted out into his bucket. It went in one ear and out the udder!!
