Product Description
Developmentally appropriate Farm antonyms/opposites literacy centers for the preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten classroom! This resource is perfect for all developmental and cognitive levels of early childhood. The centers are fun, engaging, and offer challenges and reinforcement of basic skills.

This resource is set up with 3 levels of developmentally appropriate Farm themed antonym centers for the early childhood classroom. Every class is different, every student is different, so this resource gives you the option of starting out slowly, building on what your students know, and offering a challenge as skills are mastered.

Centers Included:

Level 1: Introducing Antonyms/Opposite Matching Cards

This beginning level will introduce antonyms. This matching game is a good way to first teach and show the antonym cards as you ask questions and talk about ‘opposites’. After a period of teaching, you can use these cards to play a matching game in a literacy center small group setting.

Level 2: Antonym/Opposite 2-Part Puzzles

This center activity builds on the matching activity. Using the same antonyms, we repeat the words and find the antonyms to complete self-correcting 2-part puzzles. The fact that these puzzles are self-correcting means that there is only one option to complete each puzzle…students will have to find the correct antonym!

Level 3: Antonym/Opposite Bingo

This activity builds on the first two, but adds the element of students having to seek and find the antonym match on a Bingo card. There are 4 20-picture Bingo cards and 4 12-picture Bingo cards to choose from . Each of the 4 cards has the same pictures, but in different places. Use buttons or other markers to cover the pictures as the antonym cards are drawn. Make sure you take away the 8 cards not used if playing with the 12 picture Bingo cards.

Choose which center works best for your class or try all 3!
