This unit has 3 activities: rhyming words, matching the mother to the baby animal with labels, and research/journal pages. (We use PebbleGo in our classroom.)
Rhyming Word Match: use in small groups or in a center. I like to pass out 1-2 pictures to each student at my table and then have them work together to see who has the rhyming word.
Baby/Mother animals: Use in a center, whole group, or small group to increase vocabulary.
Research Papers: Have students listen to stories about the animals online or in your listening center. (We focus on an animal a day and they can work on it during group time or journal time.) Students will draw, write, and/or label. There are lines on the bottom for the teacher to use to write their dictated sentences.
