This resource includes fifteen different recipes with matching stories for an editable cooking class guide. For the past two summers I have taught a summer “Farm to Table” cooking class. We have grown herbs and easy to care for veggies in class and outside the school such as zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, oregano, pizza thyme, basil, and more! We would learn about farm fresh ingredients (like eggs from my chickens!) and combine a few of them to create a delicious, and quite often nutritious, snack.
This is what I wish I had when I started my class and it has been so fun to use these recipes each year! The kids LOVE to see the ingredients transform and they nearly always tried the foods that were new to them, even if they were hesitant.
