YOU ARE PURCHASING A PROJECT! THIS IS NOT A LESSON PLAN!
This is a great opportunity to integrate project based instruction with science or social studies. In this hands-on planting project, you are being provided with the worksheets, checklists, rubrics, and vocabulary words needed to study farming and agriculture. You make the connections to agriculture in ancient civilizations, communities, and the study of plants and farming practices. Four discussion cards are provided to help students think about their learning and engage in conversation. Word Wall cards are also provided. Students record tasks and observations in a Farmer's Journal which is graded at the end of the project on the enclosed rubric.
If you decide to implement the discussion cards and word wall, you could touch on relevant standards.
