In this geometry game, students have to identify each geometric fruit or veggie shape! They use the following terms: quadrilateral, square, rectangle, rhombus, triangle, circle, oval, octagon, pentagon, hexagon, kite, and trapezoid.
There are two versions included.
In the 20 task cards, provided, students have to identify each geometric shape. There is also an answer key included. Each shape is a fruit or veggie to go with the Farmer's Market theme!
On each of the 20 cards provided, students have to write down attributes about each fruit or veggie shape. For example, it might show an apple in the shape of a triangle. Students would write down "polygon, three sides, triangle" to describe it.
Directions for Students: Laurie found some weird shaped fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market. Help her identify and describe each one!
This is a great game for students to practice with geometry terms and play a fun math game at the same time. I put this out in my math centers during our geometry unit as a reinforcement activity. It can also be used for extra practice, spiral review, reteaching, or as a game to send home.
