One of the most exciting aspects of clothing is fashion. The ways in which people have behaved and dressed has changed throughout history and differs from place to place around the world. Nearly every culture and religion has its own style of dress which sets it apart from others. Fashion also enables people to display personality and personal preferences.
In this unit, your students will be able to summarize the importance of fashion; define fashion-related terms;explain fashion cycles and theories, and determine the types of fashion that represent each fashion theory.
At the end of the slide presentation, there are two activities that your students can choose from - whether you want them to engage in technology-related research and development or the good old-fashioned way of creating presentations using poster boards and magazine clippings. This would be a good three-days worth of work for your students to engage in.
