This article discusses the many ways that Victorians carried on unhealthful practices in order to fit in with society. The use of corsets, tall shoes, toxic green dye in fabrics and wallpaper, toxic make-up, etc. are discussed. This article with questions (including research questions) can be used in Science, History, Health and Social Study classes. In Biology, it can be used when discussing the germ theory and disease, and in History it can be used when discussing the Victorian Era. In Social studies, it can be used when discussing societal norms and in Health it can be used when discussing disease, etc.
