Build a 'Bee Busy' drawer cart or area to engage your fast finishers!
Turn a six drawer drawer unit into a 'hive of activity' for your little busy learners!
I like to have a 'Bee Busy' station on hand, so when my students ask me 'what to do next' I can simply say "Be Busy' and they know what to do.
The benefit of setting up a systematic procedure for these activities is that in virtually no time at all, your students will be completing skills-focussed activities in minutes, with independence.
I recommend changing the activities around in your drawers regularly, to assist with students engagement and motivation.
In this packet, I have provided 16 "Bee Busy Basics" activity packets to get you started!
Drawer 1 = equipment like pens, paper clips and dice
Drawer 2 - Write and Wipe Cards
Drawer 3 = Clip Cards
Drawer 4 = Play on the Page Worksheet Games
Drawer 5 = Card Games (matching, memory, snap style)
Drawer 6 - Small Group Games
The 16 printable activities included focus on basic skills of alphabet, upper and lower case letters, single sounds, simple sight words, cvc words, counting 1-30, numeral identification, ten frames, number order, basic addition & subtraction and 2D shapes.
I know your students will love the "Bee Busy" idea, because mine have for many years! You will love the organized and practical approach to getting your students engaged!
I have included additional bonus pages, so that every activity can also be used as a 'Print and Play Game' in small group rotations and centers. I have included a cover page, instruction sheet and worksheet for each activity.
The idea of these drawers is that once you have the system up and running, you can add any printable activity you have already, or find here on TpT to a routine that your students are confident with!
Thanks for stopping by my store!
