Fast Food Budgets – Calories and Cost
Making smart, healthy, budget friendly choices can be a challenge for everyone. I created this task to help my students make healthy choices and stay under budget. Simply print, cut and present. Students select items based on their budgets and complete the worksheet. Laminate and cut out the menu choices to facilitate the activity for your non-writers.
Because I believe every moment is an opportunity to increase communication skills, I also the menu items to practice receptive and expressive language skills. Ask probing and simple questions.
Which item would you like for lunch?
What do you eat for dessert?
Point to the salad.
What do you like on your hamburger?
What kind of dip would you ask for with chicken nuggets?
What two items would you buy together?
Which item has the least calories?
