Students are asked to only eat out at fast food restaurants all day for every meal. Can they eat within their individual healthy limits? Students use percent and proportion to determine their own dietary needs, then get eating (not literally). An extension is included for fictitious family members with special dietary needs.
Although answers may vary per student, I included a sample nutritional needs summary for you to use as a model for students if necessary.
Students will need internet access to access fast food menus, and calorie calculators. If this is not available, the instructor could make printouts of this information.
