This resource is part of a bundle: Mother & Father's Day Bundle: Cards and Books
. The cute bear makes the card or book a “BEAR”-y beautiful keepsake for Father's Day!
There are two activities in this resource.
Book: Your students write descriptions (*insert a little smile because you never know what they will write*) about their fathers (or other special caregiver) and this forms the basis of a book, “My ‘BEAR’-y Special Dad”. There is even a dedication page! It is recommended that you start this project well in advance! If you are short on time, feel free to omit some of the writing templates.
There are options for "grandfather", "uncle" and "a special someone" (insert name).
Card: Your students create cards for their fathers or special caregiver.
This download also includes other options for My “BEAR”-y Special Dad:
My “BEAR”-y Special Uncle
My “BEAR”-y Special Grandfather
My “BEAR”-y Special ______ (someone special in a student’s life)
There are several options to make this card. You have the option of gluing just one additional page to the cover. This forms the inside of the card - “Have a ‘Bear’-y Happy Father’s Day” or adding multiple pages. Just pick and choose what you like (and what you have time for!). Options for the inside of the card include:
1. For My “BEAR”-y Special Dad
2. I am “PAWS”-ative that _________. Students finish the sentence. Example: I am “PAWS”-ative that you are the best dad ever. I am “PAWS-ative that I love spending time with you. etc.
3. Have a “BEAR”-y Happy Father’s Day!
(On each page there is space for students to draw a picture of Dad.)
I hope you enjoy this product and it helps to create a "BEAR"-y Happy Father's Day!
