This is a hands on, collaborative, creative project to use with general education or special education students that aligns with NGSS. Students get to be creative, brainstorm animal adaptations and consider the pro's and con's of those adaptations in a changing environment. They will create an imaginary creature, describe and draw its features and habitat and then play a game where they evaluate whether or not their creature can survive the various "catastrophes" based on their body design. This project also contains analysis questions, grading rubric and answer key. It has been used in my classroom for several years and my students love it!
