Product Description
"Venice is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs in one go." Truman Capote (American novelist ~ 1924 - 1984)

This film with Juliette Binoche can be used on one of the special 'chocolate days' throughout the year such as:

* National Chocolate Mint Day ~ February 19th
* National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day ~ March 24th
* National Chocolate Day ~ October 28th

or

during class combined with a 'chocolate tasting'

(described in detail in 'La Fête du Chocolat For French Class')

or

as a French Club activity with the 'chocolate game' (also in 'La Fête du Chocolat For French Class').

Included here are:
1. An introductory overhead
2. A Ciné-Feuille with 20 questions in English
3. An answer key for the question sheet.

Having students select from multiple choice answers allows more time

for their eyes to stay on the film (and not spend it looking down

writing out answers) and, thus, not miss important

moments in the film.

This film can be used as enrichment to a topic or as a substitute lesson plan (or emergency lesson plan).

A gem of a film about a woman's quest to conquer a quiet French village in her quirky way ... with exquisite chocolate. (4 pages)

* SPECIAL NOTE *
This film is one of eleven in my 'Movie * Pac For French ~ Set 1' (which contains the Ciné-Feuille but not the overhead).

* EXPANSION ACTIVITY *
Laura Randazzo's Character Cell Phone Fun Writing Activity can easily be used with any film character (instead of with a book character). It can be done in English with lower level students or in French with upper level students. A nice pertinent follow-up to viewing the movie.
