Product Description
"Sometimes I think that the one thing I love most about being an adult is the right to buy candy whenever and wherever I want." Ryan Gosling (Canadian actor ~ 1980)

After the end of World War II in 1945 and the division of Germany into four occupation zones by the victorious Allies, the Soviets decided in 1948 to blockade Berlin in the hope of forcing out the Western Allies and creating shortages of food and clothing for the West Berliners.

Would this bullying tactic of the Russians work, though ?

One American pilot involved in the solution came to be known as 'The Candy Bomber'.

This film tells his story and how some simple bars of chocolate candy came to symbolize hope for a whole generation of German children.

This film can be used as enrichment to a topic or as a substitute lesson plan (or emergency lesson plan).

Having students select from multiple choice answers allows more

time for their eyes to stay on the film (and not spend it looking down

writing out answers) and, thus, not miss important moments in the film.

You get:
* An introductory overhead in English with background information on the time period,
* A Feature*Film sheet with 20 questions in English which follow along with the film, and
* An answer key.

Everything is ready-to-use to make your job easy. (8 pages)
