Product Description
This packet contains a word work literacy menu with 9 activities for the month of February. Many centers have more than one option for differentiating instruction. These centers are common core aligned specifically for Kindergarten, but may be used for Prekindergarten and/or struggling First Graders. The activities on the menu can be used as literacy centers, early finisher activities, or in small groups.


Love Letters: There are two options below:

Option 1: Pull a letter from the sensory table and write it in the heart. Write the letters that come after.

Option 2: Use links and letter cards to spell your sight
words.

Boggle: Choose 16 letters and write them in the squares. Students try to make as many words as they can with the letters provided.

Valentine Syllables Write the Room: Place syllable cards around the room. Students walk around the room and match the syllable card with the correct number of syllables.

Hidden Words: Draw a picture. Hide your words inside your picture.

I Heart You/Presidential I Spy: Three options are provided in order to allow you to differentiate according to your students needs. You may choose to have students work on CVC, consonant blend, or silent e words.

Heart Words: Write your words inside hearts.

Stamp a Word: Practice writing spelling words, sight words, etc. with stamps.

Read It, Make It, Write It: Students will practice reading and writing long a word family words—ap,e ale, ate, and ake. Depending upon the readiness of your students CVCC words are included.
