PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I designed this product for middle and high school students as a way to help create a greater awareness of good health, nutrition and fitness while improving language skills during American Heart Month in February!

There are six areas targeted in this product. Choose one or more sets of cards depending on the language goals you are addressing.
Object: Match up /answer various tasks on cards. For every four cards you collect or correct responses, earn a grocery bag. The first player to collect all six bags is the winner.

Target areas:

Pages 4-7: Vitamin-Rich Vocabulary-- 24 “Vitamin-Rich” vocabulary words (vitamin bottles) and 24 matching student-friendly definitions (red/yellow vitamin pills). Match the bottle with the red cap to the red vitamin pill, the yellow cap to the yellow pill. Key words/context clues are in BOLD letters to assist students in determining the correct answer.

Pages 8-11: Strength Training Synonyms—24 exercise related words(bathroom scales) to match up to 24 synonyms.

Page 12: Beating Heart Bonus—this set of 12 cards poses questions using the vocabulary found in the previous two activities. The student must apply their knowledge and understanding of the new words.
