Counting Station: Number Puzzles (CC.A.1, CC.A2)
In this activity students put together multiple puzzles in a variety of counting sequences.
Counting Station: Love Bug Counts On (CC.A.1, CC.A.2)
In this activity, students choose from 15 different task boards. Students count on from the first number to help the love bug collect hearts.
Counting Station: We Love to Graph (CC.A.3, CC.B.5)
In this activity, students choose a graphing board. They have to count the number of objects on the board and then graph them on a recording sheet. There are 3 different boards to choose from.
Counting Station: Clip It (CC.A.3, CC.B.5)
In this activity, students choose a card. They count the objects on the ten frame and clip a clothespin onto the correct answer.
Counting Station: Tally Mark Mania (CC.A.3, CC.B.5)
In this activity, students match tally marks cards with the correct number card.
Counting Station: Before and After (CC.A.1, CC.A.2)
This game has 2 versions to help differentiate learning. In version one, students move along an empty game board- choosing colored cards. The cards have a number sequence. Students need to fill in the missing number in sequence. In version two, students move along a game board filled with random numbers. When a student lands on a pink heart, they read the number and tell the number that comes before in the sequence. If they land on a blue heart, they read the number and tell the number that comes after in the sequence.
Addition/Subtraction Station: On and Off the Board (K.OA.A.1)
In this activity, students count the number of counters that land on and off the board. Students record their work on number bonds.
Addition/Subtraction Station: Grow and Shrink (K.OA.A.1)
In this activity, students roll a die and place counters on a ten frame board. Students roll again and have to add to or take away from the original set.
In this activity, students match equation cards with cards that show a picture to represent the subtraction facts.
In this activity, students match equation cards with cards that show a picture to represent the addition facts.
In this activity, students choose a card with an addition or subtraction fact (through 5). In order to keep the card, he or she must answer the equation correctly. If a student draws a YUM! Card, he must put all his cards back in the container.
