February Story Starters is a collection of individual topics your students can write about through expression of their thoughts and feelings. Each Story Starter states a particular topic which is connected with the month of February or school themes. Your students will then elaborate on the given topic by writing their responses with as much detail as possible.
Each page starts with an open-ended question or unfinished statement about the month of February or school themes. Your students will then use the rest of the page to supply their written response by writing on the lines provided.
Some of the school writing themes include:
*describing the characteristics of being a leader within the classroom or school
*describing the qualities of a good friend
*explaining how to be a good listener within the classroom and explaining what knowledge has been acquired because of being a good listener
*as well as other topics.
In addition, some of the writing themes state particular celebrations/special days that occur within the month of February. Open-ended questions or unfinished statements about these special celebration days are given so that your students can elaborate on these particular themes as well.
Some of these writing themes include the following:
*Groundhog Day on February 2nd
*Rosa Park's Birthday on February 4th
*Valentine's Day on February 14th
*Susan B. Anthony's Birthday on February 15th
