This concise 16 page power point is designed to assist your students in taking Cornell Notes (or other styles if that is your preference). Highlighting of the different types of powers (delegated/concurrent/reserved) along with references from the Constitution will help your young historians understand the differences as well as the emphasis on why each level of government is necessary in a Federal system. Although not included, you may elect to put forth different scenarios for your students to ponder and to decide which government or governments would be the appropriate venue. The notes in this Power Point should give enough information for them to decide the correct area of responsibility.
