This powerpoint includes 8 slides with discussion question to facilitate a Socratic seminar after reading Federalist Paper #51. Students had a great time discussing the content of Madison's essay and critiquing his argument. The final slide includes a T-chart to help students reflect as a class on how they can improve their discussion for the next round. This assignment was used with a mix of juniors and seniors in American government but can be edited to fit your class needs.
To differentiate, I suggest having students read a guided and/or annotated version of Federalist #51.
