Feed the Dog! is an engaging way for your students to practice addition and subtraction facts. It comes with an easy to read directions card and 45 fact cards using sums or differences of 7 through 12. Simple to create, just reproduce the pages of dogs and bowls on heavy paper and in color, if possible. Laminate, if desired, and cut the cards apart. Store dogs and bowls in a large envelope or zip bag with the directions card.
An additional page with blank dog bowls is also included so the activity can be made using other addition, subtraction, multiplication or division facts of your choice.
To use the activity, students will spread the dogs and the dog bowls out on a flat surface and "feed" the dog by solving the math facts on each bowl. Children will match the answer to the number under each dog. Each dog will have 5 bowls of food with addition facts and 2 or 3 with subtraction facts.
It also comes with an answer key for teacher use or student self-checking.
