Working on categorization and the pronouns "he" and "she" can be very tricky for young children with language delays. This game works well one-on-one or in small groups.
This game includes:
★ 1 girl chef
★ 1 boy chef
★ 100 different circles of various types of food.
★ He/She Receptive game: you tell the students who wants to eat the different foods. E.g. He wants an ice cream cone. She wants juice. Then they feed the appropriate chef.
★ He/She Expressive game: the students tell you who they are going to feed. E.g. He wants an apple or She wants a hamburger.
★ Categorization receptive: You choose what foods/categories to sort. The children then feed the different chefs the specific categories. E.g. the boy chef wants to eat only fruit, the girl only wants vegetables.
★ Categorization expressive: The child picks a food then states the category it belongs to. E.g. The strawberry is a fruit. The child then feeds the chef.
★ You can also combine any of the above to work both on pronouns and categorization.
Thanks for viewing this game. The children I work with love to play it and I hope your students will too! Please feel free to send me any comments or feedback you may have.
