About this product: Students love activities that keep them engaged! This activity will allow your students to move around as they learn fall vocabulary, work on sentence length (he is eating a pumpkin), and address a variety of learning targets!
Other ways to use this activity: have students describe the vocabulary words, have students compare/contrast two vocabulary words, go on a scavenger hunt for the acorns, and use the blank acorns to add your own targets!
Directions: Print color or black and white version (you can print the black and white version on brown construction paper to save ink). Cut out the Squirrel’s mouth (I attached mine to an empty tissue box, you could also use a large mailing envelope). Have students feed acorns to the squirrel (vocabulary, sentence length, verb+ing). You may also choose to hide acorns for students to find (hello, prepositions!).
