I use these Feeling-Words Cards in my Writer's Workshop. Each card has a picture of a feeling along with the corresponding printed word. There is a card for each of the following feelings: happy, sad, scared, mad/angry, embarrassed, confused, proud nervous, worried, sorry, brave, shy, excited, surprised, and frustrated. I laminate and cut out the cards, and attach a piece of velcro on the back. I use the velcro to attach the cards to the wall so that students can come up to the wall, easily grab a Feeling-Word Card, take it to their seat, and copy the word into their writing. The students love coming up to the wall to use the cards, so it really encourages them to add feelings into their writing. This product helps meet the Common Core Writing Standard WK3: "provide a reaction to what happened." You can use this product as a poster, too.
