I created this activity for students with learning disabilities, communication and developmental delays and ASD. I geared it towards Pre-K, Kinder, 1st and 2nd grades. Great for self-contained classrooms and/or small groups.
This Packet Includes::
(10) Colored pictures depicting a situation that elicits one of the targeted emotions. These could be used in a number of ways from having the students guess what the picture is showing, to locating described picture out a field of ____, or placing the pictures into emotion categories.
Emotion picture cards for “SAD”, “MAD” and “HAPPY”. My thought for this was to have students each cut out an emotion and attach to a popsicle stick. When the colored cards are presented they could lift up the emotion that would be the response to the situation. Also included blank cards in case you would like the students to draw the emotions themselves.
How Would you Feel Activity:
On one sheet of paper there are nine situations (each with text and picture). Students would pace the emotion picture cards provided to cover each situation with the appropriate emotion. This could be done as a small group and you could laminate or each student could do their own. Page of blank cards is also included.
Reflection on personal experiences. Asks them to draw picture of a time/event when he/she felt this emotion. Then asks them to complete a sentence to elaborate on the event. A printable is included for “happy”, “mad” and “sad”.
Thanks for Taking a peek!
