The Zentered Kids Feelings Wheel BUNDLE includes all 3 of our wheels:
In each wheel, the inner circle includes the 4 basic biologically-based feelings that are believed to be recognized from infancy: happy, sad, scared and mad.
In two wheels (the black + white version and the colour version) the outer circles contain 20 related but more complex combinations of the 4 basic feelings. These include: excited, calm, proud, focused, loving, tired, hurt, lonely, bored, sorry, embarrassed, surprised, worried, confused, anxious, mad, frustrated, jealous, disgusted, furious and overwhelmed.
In the third wheel (the blank version) the outer circle contains 20 blank spots for kids to add even more feelings as they learn them.
Why Use The Feelings Wheels with Kids:
The more emotions kids can identify and name the more specific they can be about how they are feeling.
According to research, a large feeling-vocabulary, used in a flexible way, leads to greater self-compassion and healthier management of emotions. For more on this read: Why Naming Feelings Is So Important: Happy, Sad, Scared, Mad And Beyond
How To Use The Wheel:
To help kids become adept at naming and understanding different emotions, the Feelings Wheels can be used as posters, conversation starters, colouring sheet (black + white version), fill in the feelings (blank version).
