This is a perfect activity for beginner English Language Learner students at the elementary, middle or high school level who are just learning emotion vocabulary. This activity is best after students are familiar with emotions vocabulary but need a refresher. It could also work as the introduction to the vocabulary.
Students will first translate and draw pictures for key emotion vocabulary and then write sentences describing when they feel different emotions.
There are two different versions, one with sentence starters embedded and one with just the sentence starter at the beginning. There is also an extension activity where students can make a poster of their sentences with drawings of each. This can be done using the template provided or on larger poster paper.
