This file has two activities.
The first requires some teacher prep in that several measuring stations must be set up. These can be as simple as some tape lines or it can include real objects. During this first activity students measure to the nearest foot. They are guided through a drawing process to help them convert their measurements into feet. I put my kiddoes into groups of three that worked together and circulated throughout the stations. They worked individually at their seat on the conversion part of the activity.
The second activity uses cards to help students convert from yards to feet. This works well as a math center for individuals.
