In this point of view activity, students first describe what they know about bulls using only prior knowledge on the a graphic organizer. After reading The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf (or watching the movie), students describe bulls again. Students then compare how their point of view about bulls may have changed after getting to know Ferdinand the bull from the story.
This opens the discussion that things/people are not always what we expect them to be. There is a “see all of me” social thinking half sheet included where students write what people might expect them to be like ( I may look like I am…) compared to what they really are (But really I am…).
