I've found it helpful to incorporate lots of syllable practice into my articulation therapy. Ferris Wheel Warm-ups focuses on helping students acquire their articulation sounds at the syllable level. Because syllables are the building blocks of larger words, it’s crucial to master articulation sounds in a variety of syllable contexts.
Students can practice their sounds in initial, medial, and final position of syllables by saying them when they see a blank (e.g. “eeree,” “ohsoh”).
Pages can be used in a “no print” fashion, or you can print color or grayscale pages for students to practice with. Both IPA and non-IPA options are included.
