This is the perfect thing to use when you want students to independently read a short story for class or for homework. It's chocked full of about 35 literary terms so it will send them back to their notes (which is the goal!)
You could give it to students at the beginning of a novel and let them complete it as they find the information within the plot.
If you do one of these with each short story you teach throughout the year, your students will know those literary terms inside and out!
Makes a great partner assignment in the beginning as the students are becoming familiar with the terms.
The graphic organizer is two pages.
The third and fourth pages of the document are my rubric to show how many points each you might want to count each section if you want to grade it. Just a suggestion. :)
This is probably my all-time favorite product because if a student can successfully complete this log, it shows a solid understanding of the story with regard to literary terms.
